"Batteries Not Included" is awesome! It's so fascinating and well put together!!"
"You have written an excellent repair book. I think it is as good
if not better than many toy books at book stores."
"Great CD! A must have for any battery-op toy enthusiast. Thanks!"
"Very interesting and helpful - laid out so even a rookie like me understands it."
"Your toy repair CD has helped me so much! I didn't know anything about repairing a vintage toy at all. The fact is, without your CD and your explanations, I would have never been able to fix my Charlie Weaver toy. No way! I would have been lost and confused. I would have ruined this toy. No doubt about it! Thanks again!"
"Just BRILLIANT!!!!!"

(the guide you will receive consists of 90 pages)
The "Batteries Not Included" vintage toy repair guide is an electronic book in PDF format. To read it on your computer you will need Adobe Reader installed. Most likely it already is. If it is not installed on your computer you can download the latest free version at: http://get.adobe.com/reader/
The guide can also be easily converted to other formats for portable devices like a Kindle, Ipad, etc. "Calibre" is a very good free conversion program, and can be found with a Google search.
You're rummaging through the attic one day and you spot that old toy you had when you were a kid. With fond memories of a time long ago, you take it downstairs and dust it off a bit. You then put brand new batteries in it, turn on the switch, and wait anxiously for it to spring into action, just like it used to. But, sadly, it just sits there, doing nothing. You give it a shake and a gentle tap. Then another shake and a not so gentle tap. Still nothing! But before heading back to the attic with it,
STOP
and read on!
The above scenario is exactly what happened to me. And that is how my fascination with vintage battery toys began. Since getting that toy to work again, I have collected and repaired hundreds of them. I do not consider myself an expert. But I have learned quite a bit. Most of it the hard way! Learn from my mistakes and not your own. I have learned that what "not to do" is as important as what "to do", if not more so! Avoiding just one these common mistakes can save you much more than the price of this book.
I do not repair toys professionally. There are professional toy repair shops. I can recommend a couple of very good ones. They can be expensive but worth it if the toy is very valuable. Fortunately, a lot of the problems with these toys are very common and can be easily repaired. With the information in this book, you can do it yourself.
Whether you are repairing just one toy or have several that may need repairing, then this is the book for you! If you are like me, you hate instruction manuals. This book was specifically designed for the person that is not interested in a lot of technical information. They just want that special toy working again! Here are several more reasons why this is a fantastic offer:
1. Low shipping cost.
2. Free updates:
This is the first version of the repair guide. From time to time more content and more tutorials will be added. When the book is revised or updated with additional information, it will be available to you at no additional charge.
3. Free support:
Having a problem with your repair? I am retired, available, and enjoy helping people solve their repair problems.
4. Interactive content:
Clickable links to additional resources, pertinent web pages, and videos of the toys that are being discussed.
5. Quality photos:
There are over eighty high resolution color pictures.
6. Picture tutorials:
I consider this to be the most important section of the book. Learning solely from the printed word can be difficult and confusing. That is why I created several tutorials using over sixty pictures, and consisting of more than thirty pages. Even if your toy is not featured in a tutorial, the repair procedures apply to many toys as they all have similar mechanisms. Becoming acquainted with the mechanisms and procedures presented here will be useful for most situations. For example, the tutorial "Skinning a Cow" demonstrates safely removing the plush fabric from "Josie the Walking Cow", but applies to all plush toys.
7. Low cost:
Production costs of an electronic book are a fraction of the cost of producing a physical book. These savings are passed directly to you.
8. Ebay chapter:
A special section about shopping for vintage toys on eBay and the many pitfalls to watch for and avoid. Once again "Learn from my mistakes and not your own!" These tips alone can save you much more than the price of the guide!
9. Risk free offer:
See Satisfaction Guarantee.
